Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been widespread.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
